Fred Stutzman of claimID and Unit Structures wrote about Yahoo! not acquiring Facebook. I really like Facebook better than the rest of the social network sites because they have more security features in place than the other social networks. There are also more 'in house' activities available like giving virtual gifts, poking, networking and organizing events. More than those, the best part about Facebook is the design aesthetics – it's not messy like MySpace and other social networks.
A lot of analysts like Needham & Co. said that Yahoo! is missing the target by not acquiring Facebook. You can read their report here. In the Wired article, Fred Vogelstein retraces the Yahoo – Google history and explains the recent history of how Yahoo was not able to buy Google. And how Google became ahead of the search engine wars.

All that aside, the only problem I have with Yahoo acquiring Facebook is that it'll become so blown up and filled with spam. Like how MyBlogLog had become. A couple of folks had been testing MyBlogLog on whether it can sustain spam or not and that's great bu the result is it still has lots of spam comments. (Yahoo recently acquired MyBlogLog)
So there you have it, I think Facebook should stay they way it is and give IPOs only when it's ready. What do you think? Should Yahoo really go for it or would you rather have Facebook wait? Fred Stutzman thinks that it's a deadly proposition. Holla back!
