Maintain friendships by Keeping in touch with Friends

Friendships go through trials when someone moves away or move out. It's just apart of life whether we're growing up, going away to college or changing jobs. Instead of just missing them, here are quick 5 things you can do to keep your friendship alive though state, national and international boundaries.

Call them often. It's an old cliché when we say 'it's just a phone call away' but how often do you take the time and have really called your long lost friend? Now's the time, just grab the phone and call.

Email – the best, cheapest and fastest way to keep friendships alive is email. We all get on the internet and check our emails. Get to that contact list of yours and email him or her once in a while. Even if it's junk mail about friends and friendships – they'll brighten the person's day and will tell them that you're thinking of them. Better yet, you can choose any of the ecards on my blog and send them! Spread the love.

Cards and Notes -- You can get to any stationery store and get a box of cards and notes. All you have to do is write to your friends once in a while put a stamp and mail it! How long is that going to take? 30 minutes at the max. It's personal, it's cute and it'll help with your friendship.

Small Gifts – Who wouldn't be happy to receive a gift? Since friendship is the gift that keeps on giving, why not share it too. With small gifts you can send your love on your friend's birthday, anniversary or just because and they won't burn your pocket.

Annual Get Togethers – This is the best way to meet in person – to make it a point to really get together with your classmates or childhood friends.
