Friend or Crush and how should you proceed?

friendship blog
Sometimes friendships between friends become so smooth that it's too good to be true. Sometimes those friendships cross the line and become something else. What do you do when you start falling for a friend? There is a fine line that most of us probably have gone through at one time or another. I checked out Yahoo Answers on Can you be friends with someone you like? It had all sorts of answers from 'yes, you should go ahead with it' to 'no, you'll end up getting hurt'.

Probably the best advice I found was from Toni Coleman's Dealing with a Crush on a Friend. She advises to not ignore, hide your feelings or distance yourself. Ms. Coleman writes that "we cannot be intimate with another while hiding or denying our true feelings and needs to them." And that the choice is always yours -- so choose wisely.

My take? You're the best when it comes to making the decision that would effect your friendship. You're in on the ground floor and have the best view so go with your gut feeling. No friendship can start without people liking each other. And you'll form an even stronger bond when a relationship is based on friendship.

For all you know, your friend also might be having a crush on you!

I feel the same way. I have an guy I was friends with and we fell in love and even though we can't be together it was so worth it.
