Friendship Sites: Best Ways I kept in touch in 2006

Keeping friendships alive when your friends are all over the place is a hard thing to do. Since I started college this year there had be a lot of changes in my life. There's a couple of gadgets and sites that I really like in coping with college and keeping in touch. Here's my top favorites.

I can't be there in person all the time. Whether it's for birthdays, anniversaries, or to simply say that I've missed them. I do this through this really cool ecard site which lets me send ecards for free.

Skype is really the greatest! I love being able to talk to my folks while surfing on the Net for papers. Talk about multitasking, this VOIP thing rocks!

You can talk and chat at the same time in Skype but you can't be with your friends who are on other messengers. That's where Meebo comes in. You can talk to your friends on AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, Jabber and Gtalk. It's really the coolest. All your friends in one place!

FRIENDS Forever!

Hey, just a quick post here before our New Year's Eve slumber party bash. I did this quiz on TBS and guess which "Friend" I am? I'm Joey! Check it out:

Which Friend Are You Quiz on tbs.com

I also asked myself what kinda a friend I am. Check it!

You Are A Social Butterfly

You love your friends so much...
You're motto is "the more, the merrier"!
Making sure everyone's included is your mission
And you always prefer a group of ten to a group of two

Am I surprised that the results are correct? ^_^ Not really. It's just fun to do all these quizzy thingys.

Old friends and old times

I just came back from Rascal House! The famous diner in Miami. And our favorite hang out place. After a lot of rain, finally the skies cleared up so my childhood friends and I got together and decided to go to finally meet.

Why do we love that place even though it's a bit pricey? Ya, you guessed it, the name describes us perfectly. There were a lot of people there and the lines were pretty long but we got through in the end. We didn't even that it was pretty long because we were having such a great time reminiscing about our past. We stayed there it seems like forever.

When we finally got our table, I ordered a Pastrami sandwich – my favorite among others at that place. All of my friends talked about how their first semester of college had been and which majors we're thinking of declaring. We're still not sure of what we want to do except for Jamie. She wanted to go into International Relations. She's already declared her major and was asked by the department head to take up honors. We were really excited for her. It's really cool.

Anyway, we decided to do a slumber party at my place for old time's sake – just us girls. Just like when we were in middle school and high school. So I'll be really busy with planning the party. We're thinking of a FRIENDS themed party where we'd watch the sitcom as marathon. Just like back in the days when we wait by the TV for a season premier or a new episode. Those were the fun days, and we're all hoping to relive it!

Just to leave you with an intro to Friends here's a Mad TV spoof:

Christmas with Family

It was just sheer luck that I booked the tickets close to Christmas because if I had booked earlier, I would've been snowed in! As soon as the roads were cleared I got onto a bus and headed out to the airport. I have to give a special big thanks to the snow teams that handled the snow – 3 ½ feet is no joke to clear up. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be able to see my family this Christmas. So I got to the airport to join the drones of people who had been stranded. It was again just my luck that they had opened up the runways already. I checked in and was on a plane packed with passengers out to Miami.

From a white Christmas on the ridges of Boulder I went to the wet Christmas of Miami. I felt like we carried the storm out east – literally! So back home, I was 'rained-in' – but we still managed to have a great time. It was just a cozy little family dinner with my mom's traditional Christmas turkey. Dad and I watched the games too. We were really disappointed in the Dolphins but the Heat beat Lakers! Go Dwyane Wade!!! That was a nice Christmas. Now I'm gonna head to sleep – too much excitement for one day. Hope you had a good one. Ciao!

This Xmas, how far will you go in the name of “Friendship”?

Just a quick post here. I have to pack and catch a plane back to Miami! First thing I'm going to do is go to a sushi joint with all of my friends! There are very little sushi joints in CO and none like the ones we have in Miami. Hey we're in the 'mountains' so I'm not complaining. They'd be home for the holidays too. We have a lot to catch up on since we all just finished our first semester of college. Before I go, I'd just like to share with you this story of friendship among the Cowboys – Ya, the Dallas Cowboys. Enjoy the read. Happy Holidays!

PS: Talk about sports and friendship, here's something about sports rivalry and friendship. Take care!
